Nikkei Inc. announced that IHS Markit will add four new indices to "Nikkei Asia PMI" series on September 1, 2016. The Nikkei Philippines Manufacturing PMI, Nikkei Thailand Manufacturing PMI and Nikkei Myanmar Manufacturing PMI will complement the existing Nikkei PMI surveys, which are closely watched indicators of Asia's economies. They will provide even more valuable insight into economic trends and business sentiment in the region. The PMIs are compiled by IHS Markit, a world leader in critical information, analytics and solutions.
