Nikkei actively organizes or participates in, domestically and overseas, economic and industry-related events, including symposiums, seminars and industry-related exhibitions. We also strive to enrich the public sphere by organizing art exhibitions, operas, concerts, sport events and other quality cultural events.

Symposiums and seminars


International Conference on "The Future of Asia"

Nikkei sponsors various symposiums and seminars including: the International Conference on "The Future of Asia"; the Nikkei Global Management Forum; the Northeast Asia Trilateral Forum; The CSIS/Nikkei Symposium; and Nikkei Business School and Nikkei Business School Online seminars, for building expertise and practical skills in business.


Industry-related exhibitions

Eco-Products

Nikkei sponsors the Marketing Renaissance on Retail and Distribution, one of the largest comprehensive exhibitions in Japan, consisting of the JAPAN SHOP, Architecture + Construction Materials, RETAILTECH JAPAN, and the SECURITY SHOW. Other Nikkei-sponsored fairs on various topics include "Eco-Products," HOME IMPROVEMENT FAIR TOKYO.


Cultural activities

Firmly committed to supporting the arts as a vital contribution to society, Nikkei participates in a broad range of cultural activities led by international and Japanese art exhibitions, operas and concerts. Events organized in 2008 include art exhibitions such as "Modigliani et le Primitivisme," "Kaii Higashiyama: A Retrospective," "France meets Japan - Ukiyo-e Influence on French Ceramics," and performances of Volksoper Wine, Wiener Staatsoper and Peking Opera "Mulan."


Other activities

As one of the official media supporters of the internationally renowned FIFA World Cup, Nikkei supports soccer games through articles and events right up to 2010, when the next World Cup will take place in South Africa. In other sports, Nikkei sponsors events such as the All-Japan Corporate League Golf Tournament-a veritable golfing festival for businessmen. In addition, Nikkei hosts the Oza Title, one of the seven major professional tournaments for Go and Shogi as well as the Nihongo Summit and the All-China Japanese Speech Contest as part of our efforts to build crosscultural awareness in Japan and other countries and to promote mutual understanding among the peoples of the world. This wide range of events and activities represent key contributions to society.
