The Nikkei Asian Review was honored with a bronze prize in the Asian Media Awards 2018 presented by the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers for its coverage of foreign students and immigrants living in the U.S. under President Donald Trump's hardline immigration policy. It is the first time the Nikkei Asian Review received this prestigious award which recognizes excellence in print journalism in the Asia-Pacific region and the Middle East.
