Rob Glaser is founder and CEO of RealNetworks,
Inc. (Nasdaq: RNWK), the recognized leader in media delivery and
music distribution on the Web. Since 1995, RealNetworks has pioneered
streaming media delivery over the Internet through its RealAudio,
RealVideo, RealPlayer and RealSystem products. In 1999, he established
RealNetworks' leadership in the digital distribution of music
with the launch of RealJukebox and RealSystem MP. There are over
72 million RealPlayer registered users. RealJukebox has recorded
more than 10 million registered users in five months.
Mr. Glaser has long been interested in media, computing, and communication.
As television and radio transition from a broadcast to an online
medium, he envisions turning the Internet into the next mass medium
and entertainment hub.
