Hirotomo Nomura is a senior staff writer for Nikkei. He joined Nikkei in 1980 and currently covers Japanese business. He was assigned as New York correspondent for three years from 1990 and became senior staff writer of Nikkei's Editorial Headquarters for the Americas for three years from 1996, stationed in New York and then in Los Angeles. He graduated from Waseda University.
