The objective of the exhibition will be to present the possibilities of science and technology and to show the abundance that science and technology promises to realize in the future. The exhibition is organized into five topical areas, which will be technically important in the future: "Environmental Protection"; "Information/Communication"; "Life Science"; "Space & Marine Resource Development"; and "Life Amenities." In each of these areas, exhibitors will propose ideas and introduce subjects dealing with the way technology will develop in the next century and with how such developments will enrich both the lives of people in society and industrial progress. The program will also feature a wide array of symposia, seminars and other forums, which will be complemented by a number of enjoyable outdoor attractions and performances. There will also be a tandem event to the main exhibition, called "Move 2000 " Beyond the Dreams." From Thursday, July 20 to Sunday August 6, this parallel program will adorn the night sky in Ariake each day as night falls with a light and sound show called "Dream Night 2000."
