Nikkei Net and Nikkei News Channel shut down and were replaced by Nikkei Net Interactive at 13:00 JST Monday December 7. This new service offers improvements in both content and function. Among other things, it offers:

• All stories from The Nikkei Weekly.
• About 100 major articles each day from The Nihon Keizai Shimbun, The Nikkei Industrial Daily and The Nikkei Financial Daily.
• A handy keyword search engine.
• More frequent updates of news articles and market data.

Contents from Nikkei Net will not be available in the Back Issues section of Nikkei Net Interactive, except articles in the archives of: Shifting Yen, Japan's Financial Big Bang, Asian Market Turmoil, Japan's Recession, and Bank-Brokerage Failures.
