This year "Global Information Summit 2002" will be held on March 5th and 6th in Tokyo, and in conjunctionwith the symposium, the "Net Conference" is to be held on the net from the first week of Feburary toward the begining of March, so that the debate on the net would be reflected to the symposium. In total, more than 50 leaders of information-related fields of all over the world will be given preferencetoact as panelists on the Net Conference via e-mail. This year, under the theme of the summit: "The Next Stage - Towards a Secure Network Society," the focus of the Net Conference will be on the balance in rapidly developing technology and regulations/rules on the net.
